EXP2 WEEK6 - FINAL SUBMISSION

Theory:

Dynamic architecture embarks movement by creating interaction between its occupants and the environment

REAL TIME IMAGES

The building explores and demonstrates a focus on the notion of "interaction", bringing change to the modern sedentary lifestyle. In my model, I aim to create an environment that is able to encourage movement, reconnect its occupants with the natural environment and provoke creativity in the students. The main structure takes inspiration from Toyo Ito's architecture such as the Sendai Mediatheque in the large structural geometry being elevated and connected with several circular walkways. By imparting numerous outdoor study spaces and predominately utilising glass, the building blends in with the pre-existing natural environment, thus allowing a continued sense of interaction between the occupants and nature.
